"Please prepare TWO CONTRASTING MONOLOGUES."
Few words can strike fear into the heart of an actor like those do, but it's all good, dudes: in three-session series, you will learn the purpose of a general audition, how to search for good material, and how to identify what's overdone. We'll talk about how to cut a monologue, how to use a monologue to showcase what you do best, and we will identify what works and what doesn't in your current audition pieces.
Offered by Request
HOW IT WORKS:
- Fill out the Be A Client form, and Kelsey will send you scheduling options, as well as an in-depth questionnaire.
- Our first session will run 30 minutes. We will get to know each other, addressing your questions and answers from the form. If you have monologues that you've been using for a while, I'd love to see them!
- One Hour to work through your new material: taking it apart, getting specific about your intentions/objective, and figuring out how to use the piece to showcase YOU.
- In the final Half Hour Session, we will run the speech three times, and discuss where and how you will use it!
