Is a woman committed to helping young actors get SMART about performing, auditioning, the industry and self-care. More specifically, kparkerg is Kim Griffin: actor, student, teacher, member of Actor's Equity Association for more than a decade, former conservatory student and theatre professor in both BA and BFA programs. I hold a Master's Degree from the Old Globe in Shakespearean Performance, a certificate of completion from the People's Improv Theatre of NYC, and have done a lot of stuff onstage, in front of the camera, and as a human. - That last part is important: as a human. First and foremost, you are a person. I feel like that gets left behind in a lot of studio classes, and have found that getting to know my students, helping them to navigate all of the many choices they have to make, working from where they are: always yields better results than trying to make them be someone else.
Let's get together and make you a better actor by paying to attention to who you already are! Do the work for the sake of your confidence, and cultivate a work ethic that will get you through the hard times. Classes are added on a rolling basis, and coaching is offered in several forms. Check out the calendar to see what I am up to, what might be inspiring to you, or shoot me a message if you aren't sure where to start. I'm actually here for you. Like, really.
Hearts & stars,
